WTF of the day, from Reuters' headline:
Bush says gave up golf in solidarity with Iraq dead
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander-in-Chief playing golf," Bush said in an interview with Yahoo and Politico.com.
I actually thought this was a headline from The Onion.
But no, dear readers, Il Douche is being as serious as cancer.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Tuesday he quit playing golf in 2003 out of respect for the families of Americans killed in the war in Iraq.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander-in-Chief playing golf," Bush said in an interview with Yahoo and Politico.com.
"I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal," he said.
Bush said his last round of golf was in August 2003 when he was informed that a truck bomb had wrecked the U.N. headquarters in Baghdad, killing 22 people, including U.N. envoy Sergio Vieira de Mello.
"They pulled me off the golf course and I said, it's just not worth it anymore to do," Bush said.

Just when I thought he couldn't be a bigger douchebag, he comes along and says something like this. What fucking planet does he think the American people have been on?! Who gives a flying fuck that he has sacrificed his games of golf in solidarity with the dead American soldiers? Here's an idea, instead of parading his daughter down the aisle, he should have sent her over to Iraq in fatigues. There would be solidarity for all the soldiers who were planning on getting married that will no longer have those desires fulfilled. I suppose we should all just shut the fuck up now and congratulate him on being so self-sacrificing, on really empathizing with the peoples of the US & Iraq, on... oh, man, I can't even stomach being sarcastic when neo-cons will probably fellate him for giving up his precious. If he was such a 'Commander-in-Chief', why doesn't he just head over there and work CENT-COM?!
To quote the Dude, 'Ah, fuck it.'
