Confession time: I got so caught up in The Dark Knight moment, that I nearly allowed this quiet little gem slip past me. Werner Herzog's most recent documentary, Encounter at the End of the World has been released to very small fanfare (considering the marketing behind Grizzly Man and Rescue Dawn), that like me, you may not even know it's playing locally at Bow Tie's Art @ Cinema City in the South Meadows. I went to see it last night, fearing that since it's been playing for a full week it might disappear soon. It's sad and beautiful, as only Mr. Herzog can make a film.
