Get Your War On: Animated Premeire

Website 23/6 which touts to offer "Some of the News, Most of the time", is hosting the animated version of David Rees' syndicated cartoon strip, Get Your War On. The strip appears locally in The Hartford Advocate and is generally the first thing I search for when I pick a copy up. The cynic wit and dry pacing of the strip truly capture how most of us feel about this administration, its policies, and the general doomsday cloud of uncertainty that hangs over the U.S. (ok, maybe I'm the only that thinks about that last one). This piece - based on a recent strip - is brilliantly illustrated and written, adding enough to the original three panels without devolving into a forced concept. Wonderful animation, keeping it simple without any backgrounds, retains the look and feel of Mr. Rees' strip. Look forward to more. (via Cory Doctorow at BoingBoing

("the general doomsday cloud of uncertainty that hangs over the U.S." is something that everyone should be sensing, and if not, why not? i think anyone without their heads up their respective asses is aware of what is a possibly imminent implosion.)
