Chain by flickr user Ella's DadShout outs to all our friends in the area and what they've been talking up...
- CT NewsJunkie is out of town, in the C.O.,reporting on the Democratic National Convention. Spare yourselves the bloated CNN/FAUXNews pageantry and head over to the CTNJ's coverage, where you can read about the GOP hosting a Happy Hour for disgruntled Hillary-ites.
- Our cycling cousins at Beat Bike Blog gave us some informative bicycle news. Rich gave a detailed account of riding his bike to the Radiohead show in Massachussetts (lucky tosser); Brendan related posts about two bike haters in Toronto and SF; and Chillwill posted about some of the bike activities happening at the end of this month and the beginning of next.
- Julie at Live in Hartford posted an essay from guest writer EmGee, about her decision to move back into Hartford, to be part of the solution instead of complaining about the problem. There are some great comments posted to it, including from yours truly.
- Kerri at Real Hartford discussed her theory of Hartford haters as a symptom of ennui of living in CT; for those that want to own their own homes in the city (or elsewhere in CT), she linked to a workshop for first time Homeowners at the Hartford Public Library.
- Peter G reported on The Undercurrents about health care being denied to women by the Bushites, who will push for a federal regulation that “empowers federal health officials to pull funding from more than 584,000 hospitals, clinics, health plans, doctors’ offices and other entities if they do not accommodate employees who refuse to participate in care they find objectionable on personal, moral or religious grounds.”
- Finally, Scary Bunnies posted an amazing photo taken by their brother of a baby bear pushing a baby carriage outside his garage.
