McCain Picks Younger Woman as Veep Choice; LIEberman asks for divorce

yes, we should all be discussing Senator Obama's speech. He is far more worthy of our time, thoughts, and breath. But, progressives, liberals, and anyone who gives a rat's ass about how this country needs to be salvaged from the abyss that McCain's friends have driven us into needs to prepare themselves on how to deal with the backpatting-injured conservative McCainites who are going to be cumming at the prospect of the pick of Governor Sarah Palin. Many are already going on and on about how shocking and inspiring it is; here's the thing: if Bill Kristol think's its a good idea, lets take a moment to realize just how wrong it is.

It'd be great to think that this would take away from the old argument that Senator Obama is not "experienced enough" as Governor Palin has very little - if any - foreign policy experience (and frankly, McCain's foreign policy experience is confused at best). But, no, now it's just finger pointing from pundicks, as to who isn't qualified, who is better, who is worse who said what. Frankly, it comes down to the choice between Obama and McCain. The VP choice is important - after all, I was struggling with Obama's choice of Biden last week - but this is just an insult. It's a clear attempt to one up/undermine the importance of Senator Obama's nomination. And frankly, Governor Palin's attempt to put herself alongside the achievement of Senator Hilary Clinton is outrageous! Senator Clinton - love her or hate her, respect her or despise her - she worked very hard and a long time to get to where she did, with 18 million votes; now Governor Palin thinks by being added to a ticket that has a 50/50 chance of winning that makes her historic?! God help us all.
Lunch time WiFi provided by Rosco's Big Dog (where I found out about the selection on their CNN feed; thankfully, Radiohead's Karma Police was playing in the background to drown out the pundicktry.
