Happy New Year 2009!

246-248 Sargeant Street by MiraHartford

After watching the ball drop at midnight, I decided to take Azul out for a walk to ring in the new year. Went down to my neighbor's house a few blocks away to say hello as their party was kicking into gear. Along the way, saw this beautiful house. It was restored by Northside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., and is now inhabited by homeowners and renters. It was nice sign to start the new year. Wishing all of you a Happy New Year with Peace from the HartBeat!

Photo of the house as it was before rehab after the jump.

In the distance, through the white cloud of falling snow, the headlights & display of the bus glow, appearing like a ghost ship through a fog. Riding into the downtown, the buildings are ghost outlines through the snow. I wonder what the new year will bring as I contemplate what this last year has taken.
