246-248 Sargeant Street by MiraHartford
After watching the ball drop at midnight, I decided to take Azul out for a walk to ring in the new year. Went down to my neighbor's house a few blocks away to say hello as their party was kicking into gear. Along the way, saw this beautiful house. During 2008, this house was restored after being vacant and dilapidated for almost a decade. It was restored by Northside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., and is now inhabited by homeowners and renters. It was nice sign to start the new year. Wishing all of you a Happy New Year with Peace from the HartBeat!
Photo of the house as it was before rehab after the jump.

Referred to as the Castle House by neighbors, this is how 246-248 Sargeant Street looked for several years before rehab brought new life to it last year.
