An interview with artist Peter Edlund
To celebrate the new installation of the Hudson River School paintings at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, I uploaded this interview with CT artist Peter Edlund. In 2000, he presented Majestic America at Real Art Ways (where this was taped), in which he adapted several paintings while adding "to them narratives to discuss the violence and racism of 18th and 19th century America."
And do go check out the new installation of the Hudson River School paintings in the newly renovated gallery at the Wadsworth Atheneum.

On display are several of the pieces which Peter Edlund adapted, including the large Frederic Church set in Jamaica.
