MLK Day Home Decor Drive
As part of a month of celebrations in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, Hands On Hartford is collecting home decor items for Peter’s Retreat. Items sought include framed artwork, mirrors, lamps, rugs, kitchen utensils, small kitchen appliances, etc. in new or gently used condition. Peter’s Retreat provides safe supportive housing and intensive case management for men and women living with HIV / AIDS who would otherwise be homeless. These donations will be used to update and decorate the furnishings of the home and brighten the lives of those who live there. Donations will be accepted through January 18th and may be brought to Hands On Hartford’s central office located at 330 Main Street, third floor. For more information or to arrange a time for a large or bulky drop-off, please call (860) 728-3201 ext. 2006.
