How about youth show respect for women? Then, it does not matter so much if they have an adult male figure in the house or not. I know that the dominant ideology is that it's best for a child to have a mother and father, but I think that if that child has one loving parent who's doing the right thing, and who the child respects, then that kid can go on to be a functional adult.
